President Trump Alleged in Opposition with White House Coronavirus Task Force
At least two dozen U.S. states have now rolled back or paused their reopening plans as the nation’s COVID-19 case total surpassed 3 million yesterday. After five months and over 130,000 lives lost, the country remains more divided than ever. This is also reflected through President Trump and members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force who are allegedly in the middle of a dispute. It’s no secret the president wants the economy to reopen and for life to resume as normal but this is in direct opposition to advice health experts have been giving for months, especially now as cases are surging at an uncontrollable rate. It’s reported the president has not met with the task force in months. It’s also reported the force has been meeting outside of the White House. Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany said the decision to meet elsewhere was determined by the task force. McEnany also added that the president continues to have “confidence in the conclusions of our medical experts” despite these accusations.
