State Leaders, Health Officials Try to Combat Growing COVID-19 Numbers
As COVID-19 cases continue to mount, city leaders and health officials are beginning to take action. Myrtle Beach Mayor Brenda Bethune has asked the city attorney to look into mask requirements. This comes just a day after the city of Greenville became the first in South Carolina to pass a mask requirement mandating they be worn in places such as grocery stores and pharmacies. Testing is also on the rise, as Tidelands Health announced they will be combining efforts with two other free testing events this week in order to accommodate more people. It will take place at CCU Friday morning at 10 a.m.
