Mayor of Conway, Husband Test Positive For Coronavirus

The mayor of Conway and her husband have tested positive for COVID-19. Mayor Barbara Blain-Bellamy and her husband were tested Saturday after she started to feel sick last Wednesday. The mayor reported she is already on the mend, but her husband, who was hospitalized for an unrelated health issue, remains in an isolation ward. South Carolina COVID-19 cases are on the rise, and Horry County in particular has been officially declared a hot spot. Fortunately, DHEC has reported the palmetto state has an 80% recovery rate for COVID-19.
