Officers Suspended After Caught on Video Shoving, Seriously Injuring Elderly Man

While the majority of protests were peaceful again last night, there were still some violent clashes with police. In Buffalo New York, a video went viral after police officers were caught shoving an 75-year-old man. The push led him to hit his head on the ground and appeared to knock him out cold. He then began bleeding out of his ear. The man was immediately treated on the scene and is now reportedly in a hospital in serious but stable condition. Two of the officers involved were suspended pending a full investigation. It is unclear what led up to the incident, especially since the elderly man appears to be peacefully protesting. However, this is not the only incident of violence in New York as a result of these protests. Officers are being criticized for aggressively charging kneeling protesters or using batons on curfew breakers. Officers have also been the subjects of violence with reports saying some have been hit by cars, stabbed in the neck, and even shot.
