North Carolina Dog Tests Positive for Covid-19
A pug named Winston from North Carolina has tested positive for the coronavirus making him the first dog in the U.S. to contract covid-19. Three members of the Mclean family contracted the virus last month and found out the family dog had it when they participated in a Duke University study about covid-19 aimed at trying to find potential treatments and vaccines. During the study family members underwent weekly nasal swabs and gave blood samples. The family has another dog and a cat that were also tested but came back negative.
