U.S. Coronavirus Cases Top Three Million

The number of coronavirus cases worldwide has surpassed three million with deaths nearing 213,000. Within the U.S. we are continuing to see grim numbers as well, with cases topping one million and the number of deaths nearing 57,000. Many experts believe this number may be way higher after recent data revealed “notable increases” in deaths over the last few months. That haven’t been directly connected to the virus, however suspicion has led many to believe they may have been caused by COVID-19 and went unreported or undetected. The new speculations pose increased concerns over testing abilities in the U.S. The White House just released a new set of testing guidelines yesterday, however they fall short of the World Health Organization’s recommendations who say millions a day should be tested. Presently, the U.S. will test 2% of it’s citizens a day, focusing mainly on vulnerable populations and health care workers.
