Harvey Weinstein Hospitalized Following Guilty Verdict

Yesterday afternoon, Harvey Weinstein was found guilty on two separate charges. The 67-year-old was convicted of committing a criminal sex act in the first degree of one woman and rape in the third degree of another. He is scheduled for sentencing on March 11th where he faces a suggested minimum of five years in prison with a maximum of over two decades. He was acquitted on the more serious charges of predatory assault for which he could’ve received life in prison for. But it’s far from over for Weinstein who still faces a trial in LA by two more accusers. Following his conviction, Weinstein has been hospitalized. He reported chest pains, heart palpitations, and high blood pressure but, his attorney says he is doing alright. After a brief stay at Bellevue, Weinstein will be transferred to New York’s Rikers Island jail. His lawyers are working on getting him into a special unit while in prison so his health can be better monitored.
