Former Florence County Sheriff Released on Bond
Following up on a story from yesterday, former Florence County Sheriff Kenney Boone has been released on bond after his second arrest. Law enforcement responded to Boone’s house where they found him brandishing a baseball bat which he used to hit a cat and destroy other items in his house. Boone’s wife reported he came home intoxicated and after a fight ensued, Boone retrieved the bat from his car and began swinging it. Boone’s children also alleged he threatened to hit police with it, as well. Boone was charged yesterday with domestic violence to the 2nd degree and ill treatment of animals in general along with parole violations. He was released on bond of $10,000 dollars.
