11 Cases of the Coronavirus Now Confirmed in the U.S.
There are now 11 confirmed cases of the Wuhan Coronavirus in the United States. The virus has claimed the lives of more than 360 people with over 10,000 confirmed cases, but researchers believe there could be an estimated 75,000 infected across 25 countries. With the alarming rate of those infected, the U.S. has imposed even stricter travel bans which went into effect yesterday. The U.S. is “temporarily suspending the entry into the united states of foreign nationals who pose a risk of transmitting” the virus. China has come out saying this might be a bit of an overreaction as they’ve been able to successfully contain the majority of those infected to China. They currently have over 60 million people under full or partial lock downs. They’ve also built temporary 1,000 bed hospitals in just ten days and have already opened the doors for their first patients.
