Annual Faith Walk Kicks off 2020
There were many ways in which Myrtle Beach residents rang in the new year. Among those was the 2020 annual “Faith Walk”. Dozens of residents and Myrtle Beach leaders took to the streets yesterday to bring awareness of human trafficking and methods of prevention. More than 150 human trafficking cases were reported in South Carolina in 2018 alone with around 1,300 victims since 2007. Reverend Timothy McCray, who organized the event, says it’s important to start the year off right by addressing the major issues our city faces and bring the cities’ leaders together. McCray said he plans on holding similar walks throughout the year to continue to bring awareness and help create sustainable plans.
