President Trump is Impeached
President Trump has officially become the third president ever to be impeached. The House members, as expected, voted almost entirely along party lines, with two democrats voting against both articles and one republican voting to impeach on both counts. The final results were 230-197 to charge President Trump with abuse of power and 229-198 to charge him with obstruction of congress. But for those celebrating right now, it may be premature. After months of debates and hearings, this impeachment vote is not the end. The articles still have to be passed through the Senate which seems unlikely, seeing as the senate is republican majority. And if the Senate rejects impeachment, President Trump will be able to run for the 2020 election and can be re-elected back to office if he wins.
