Impeachment Hearings Continue

A second Judiciary Committee meeting is taking place right now to discuss their case for impeachment. This comes less than a week since Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated the House was going to move forward with articles of impeachment against President Trump. Today’s hearing will consist of testimonies from democratic and republican lawyers stating their cases and are expected to continue for the next two weeks. A house floor vote is to be expected just in time for Christmas. The White House still refuses to participate in proceedings, calling the investigation unfair and baseless. Republicans are expected to fight the charges and stall impeachment efforts by defending President Trump’s actions concerning the Ukraine scandal.
