Pearl Harbor Shooter

Days before the the 78th anniversary of the tragic attack on Pearl Harbor, the military base found itself facing yet another tragedy. An active U.S. sailor opened fire and killed two people and injured another before fatally shooting himself yesterday afternoon. The shooting occurred on the shipyard and reports came in that the shooter was wearing his navy uniform at the time. The shooter’s name has not been released yet and the identities of the victims will not be released until next of kin is notified. The base’s lock down has also been lifted. Pearl Harbor receives over 2 million tourists a year and houses a population of about 66,000, most of whom are military families.
