Thompson, Ethel Emma

Ethel Emma Galliher Thompson, 81, a beloved mother and grandmother and the widow of George Johnson Thompson entered in to eternal rest on Sunday, May 29, 2011, at the Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Thompson was born a daughter of Allen James Galliher and Pearl Johnson Galliher on April 6, 1930, in Horry County. She was educated in the old Oak Grove School; the owner and operator of Thompson Groceries; and was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was blessed with seven children: Marilyn (“Buck”) Poston, Clydie (Harry) Thompson, Lula (Ron) Collins, George James Thompson, Jessie (Dianne) Thompson, Gloria ( Allen W., Sr.) Pender, and Tina T. Small; fourteen grandchildren, Tommie Jean, Legrand “Buck”, Donnette, Emily, Melinda, Janice, Renee, George F., Anthony J., Shannon, Jason, Tracy, Allen Jr., and Michael; 20 great grandchildren, and 2 great great
