Smith, Emma
Emma A. Smith “Hattiecall”, age 62, of Lumberton, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at Southeastern Hospice House in Lumberton. She was born in Robeson County on May 14, 1949 to the late Rodrick McQuage and the late Tilder Jane Merritt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mack McQuage. Mrs. Smith is survived by one son, Thomas Smith of Lumberton, NC; two daughters, Theresa Williamson and husband, Randy of Charleston, SC and Sylvia Branch and husband, Wayne of Lumberton, NC; a brother, Rod McQuage, Jr. of Fairmont, NC; three sisters, Marilyn McQuage of Lumberton, NC, Bernice Hayes of Fairmont, NC and Eloise Kling of Fairmont, NC; nine grandchildren, Randi, James, Robbi, Tristen, Tommi Leigh, Gracey, Lonnie, Joshua and Brandon; one great-grandchild, Brayden; and a long time companion, Bill Davis. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at 3:00PM at Sandhill Baptist Church with Mr. Thomas Smith and Rev. Johnny Bruce officiating. Burial will follow at Floyd Memory Gardens. A visitation will be held on Saturday evening, May 28, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
