3/24/1959 – 5/23/2011 Steve C. Brown, age 52, died Monday, May 23, 2011. Funeral services will be held in at 11:00 on Thursday, May 26 at Belk Funeral Home, Lamar Chapel. Burial will follow in Lamar Cemetery. Born March 24, 1959 in Darlington County, he is the son of Alpha Harris James and the late Willard Brown. Steve worked as a general contractor for JADERLOON Greenhouses and loved to work to provide for his family. He enjoyed fishing in his free time. Surviving in addition to his mother of Hartsville, is his wife, Sandra Glasscock Brown, two sons, Andy (Beth) Brown of Lamar, Chris (Brittany) Brown of Timmonsville, a daughter, Nikki Brown of Lamar, three brothers: David Brown of Four Oaks, NC, Buddy Brown of Clinton, NC, Mickey Brown of Myrtle Beach; and two sisters Shirley (Wayne) Vincent of Darlington and Connie (Billy) Mullis of Lamar. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Wednesday evening at Belk Funeral Home, LAMAR CHAPEL.
