Blackman, Michael

Michael Blackman, age 63, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 in a local hospital. Born March 25, 1948 in Darlington County, he was the son of the late Don and Marie Blackman. Michael was a teacher for several years and worked in pharmaceutical sales until his health declined. He loved writing and was very talented at it. Surviving are his five children: Mickey (Stephanie) Blackman of Darlington, Michelle B. (Stephen) Andrews of Darlington, Ginger Blackman of Darlington, Sherry B. (Marc) Heiden of Florence, Jeffrey Blackman of Darlington; six grandchildren; a sister, Donna (Jody) Dunlap of Hartsville, brothers, Roger (Jean) Blackman and Steve Blackman. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Susan Padgett Blackman. Memorials may be made to the charity of one‘s choice.
