John Walter Newton, 39, husband of Linda Ann Newton, passed away on April 29, 2011, at the Georgetown Memorial Hospital. Newton was born the son of John Walter “Johnny” Turner and Mary Faye Newton Foxworth-Turner on June 13, 1971 in Georgetown, SC. He was educated in Georgetown county and was a heavy equipment operator. He leaves behind: his mother; his wife; two sons, John Michael Newton and Thomas Ward Newton; one grandchild, Mason Ward Newton; two step-children, Brittany Jewell and Dalton Jewell; three brothers, William Foxworth, Jerry (Tammy) Turner, and Ricky (Dorothy) Turner; two sisters, Mary (Ricky) Taylor and Louise (Lavern) Cooper; and a number of nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by: his father; his grandparents; and a brother, Toot Turner. A Celebration Of Life will 5 PM Monday, May 2, 2011, graveside in the Bethel Cemetery directed by McKenzie Funeral Home.
