Jessie Jones Jr., age 61 of Lumberton passed away on Saturday April 16, 2011 at Southeastern Medical Center in Lumberton NC. Jessie was born March 24, 1950 in Robeson County, son of Jessie Jones, Sr., and the late Sarah Margaruit Lowery. His work was in dry wall construction retiring from C.W.F. Contractors of Virginia. He enjoyed fishing, racing and traveling but especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Jessie is survived by son, Jeffery Jones Jr. and wife Alicia of Lumberton; daughters, Denise Hunt of Lumberton and Tammy Jones of Texas; his father, Jessie Jones Sr. of Lumberton; sisters, Elaine (Judy) Gordon and husband Marty of Laurinburg, Wanda Jones and Melissa Jones both of Lumberton, six grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday from 7:00 to 9:00P.M. at Richard Boles Funeral Service in Laurinburg NC The funeral service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel. Burial will follow in Rogers Cemetery in McColl SC.
