Hunsucker, Sue

Southern Pines, NC- Sue W. Hunsucker, age 89, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital In Pinehurst, NC. Mrs. Hunsucker was born in Wake County, NC to the late Roger Clarence and Martha Holland Wood. When she first came to Moore County, she worked at the Carolina Hotel and later held jobs at Jack‘s Grill, Carolina Soap & Candle, Pride-Trimble, listing taxes for the County and selling Avon. In her later years she provided care to children in her home, which she truly enjoyed. Mrs. Hunsucker is survived by a son David Hunsucker and wife Jan of Nashville, NC, son Eddie Dutton of Southern Pines, Grandchildren, Bambi Dutton of Pinehurst, NC, Kim Monroe Sorensen of Hinesville, GA, Mike Dutton Seven Lakes, NC, Mark Dutton of FoxFire Village, NC, Katie Dutton of Winder, GA, Ryan Hunsucker of Charlotte, NC and Maegan Hunsucker of Nashville, NC and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Havis Hunsucker, a daughter, Faye Dutton Burgess and a son Claude Roger Dutton. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Southern Pines with Rev. Gregg Newton officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the home.
