Locklear, Elizabeth

Elizabeth Locklear, age 56, of Lumberton, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Robeson County on August 30, 1954 to the late Rev. Luther and Helen Locklear. She leaves to cherish her memories with her brother, Avery Locklear of Lumberton; two sisters, Dollie Locklear Chavis and Wanda Locklear Gilchrist, both of Lumberton and cherished loved ones of the home, Cruz Locklear, LaQuan Carter, Tressa Carter and Vincent G. Locklear. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Otis Locklear and two sisters, Ida L. Carter and LaRuth Locklear. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 at 2:00PM at St. Anna Freewill Baptist Church in Pembroke with Rev. Tony Miller and Rev. Jack Murray officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, April 16, 2011 from 7:00-9:00PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 East 5th Street, Lumberton.
