Dew, Jimmy Maurice

Jimmy Maurice Dew, age 74, of Lumberton, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Robeson County on February 26, 1937 to the late John Preston Dew and Bessie Powers Dew. He was self-employed as operator of Dew‘s Auto Sales and Body Shop until his illness in 1989. Mr. Dew is survived by his wife, Patricia G. Dew of the home; a son, Jimmy Dew, Jr. and Helen Nance of Bladenboro, NC; two daughters, Angie Floyd and husband, Jack and Tamera Dew and fiancée, Terry Owens, all of Lumberton; three grandchildren, Amanda Smith, Justin “JT” Taylor and Drew Floyd; one great-grandchild, Sara Smith; two sisters, Linda Dempsey and husband, Tony of Lumberton and Betty Neff and husband, Cecil of Florida; one brother, Jerry Dew and wife, Barbara of Raleigh and dear friends, Alice and Billy Meares of Lumberton. A funeral service will held on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 2:00PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Bob Jordan and Rev. Darin Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Faith Cemetery in Lumberton.
