Billy Edward Cochrane, 68, of Cameron, NC, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at E. Carlton Powell Hospice Center in Lillington. Billy was born in Spout Springs, Harnett County, on June 9, 1942 to the late Claude Edward Cochrane and Catherine Douglas Cochrane. He was a 1961 graduate of Benhaven High School. He was retired from Blanton Glass Company, Largo, Fl. Billy is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marlene Wauthier Cochrane; two daughters, Claudia (Lori) Holland of Lillington, and Billie Renee Rose and husband Jamie of Lillington; one son, William Edward Cochrane and wife Mabiela of Sanford; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Freeman and husband Leonard of Tampa, Fl.; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Cochrane Marks and husband Clarence of Cameron; two nephews, Mitchell Marks of Hammond, IN, and Michael Marks of St. Petersburg, FL; one niece, Michelle Marks Merwin of Martin, TN; one special aunt, Paulia Cochrane Black of Bunnlevel; and many dear cousins and friends. His family will receive friends Saturday evening, April 9, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church. The funeral service will be Sunday afternoon, April 10, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thomas Williams presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cameron Hill Presbyterian Church or to Cameron Hill Cemetery Fund. Miller-Boles Funeral Home of Sanford is serving the family.
