Morris, Hugh Howard

Mr. Morris died Friday, April 1, 2011. Born in Chesterfield, SC, he was a son of the late Hugh Ingram and Maybelle Morris Alexander. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, a Mason and Shriner, and was retired from Sonoco after 38 years of service. He was a gentle man who loved his family, NASCAR, his yard and Sonoco. Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Willie Faye Morris of Hartsville, SC; daughters, Kathy M. Snipes of Columbus, OH, Linda Faye Morris of Raleigh, NC; sister, Margaret Melton of Cheraw, SC; brother, Johnny Morris of Hartsville, SC; special nephew who was like a son, Perry (Judy) Morris of Hartsville, SC; grandchildren, Kenny Snipes, Matt Snipes, Josh Beasley, Philip Beasley; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Jo Morris Beasley. Funeral services for Hugh Howard Morris, 75, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Gary Colboch, the Rev. Dr. Milton Frazier and the Rev. Philip Beasley will officiate with burial in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 949 N.
