Parker, Myrtle Lee
LAKE CITY: Mrs. Myrtle Lee Miles Parker, 83, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 17th, 2011 in her home after a long illness. Mrs. Parker was born in Williamsburg County on September 18th, 1927. She was a daughter of the late Joe Edward Miles and the late Elizabeth Liza Barfield Miles. Mrs. Parker was a member of Floyd‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her. Mrs. Parker‘s surviving family includes her four sons, J.D. Parker (Mary Lee), Jessie Parker, Lavern Parker (Brenda), and Ronnie Parker (Ann), all of Lake City; her seven grandchildren, Dee Lynch (Gerald), of Effingham, Dara Cook (Jason), of Scranton, Dana Singletary (Brian), of Scranton, Len Parker (Sarah), Lance Parker (Sheri), Dean Parker (Sandy), and Brent Parker (Kimberly), all of Lake City; her twelve great-grandchildren; her two sisters, Willa Dean Robinson, of Kingstree, and Eloise Tarte (Eddie), of Socastee; her brother, Dale Miles (Margie Lee), of Summerville; and many special nieces and nephews. The family of Mrs. Parker will have visitation from six until eight o‘clock p.m., Friday, March 18th, 2011 in Floyd‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Parker will be held at three o‘clock p.m., Saturday, March 19th, 2011 in Floyd‘s Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Brockington Funeral Home, Lake City, is in charge.
