William Howard, 64, died Thursday, March 10, 2011. He was born March 7, 1947 in DuBois, PA, a son of the late Wanda (Carr) and D.J. Howard. “Bill” was a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania and taught biology and earth science in the Cranberry School District in Seneca, PA. Following his retirement, he moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC and worked at the former Barefoot RV Resort. Bill and Carletta are members of the Grace United Methodist Church (Oil City, PA) and enjoyed singing in the choir there for many years. He is survived by his wife, Carletta (Logan) Howard, two daughters, Hillary and husband Adam Emrick of Conway, SC and Heather and husband Lance Helms of Myrtle Beach, SC. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Logan Emrick and Anniston Helms and two grandsons, Smith and Cohen Emrick. Additional survivors are brothers, Steve Howard and Sid Howard of Pennsylvania and John Howard of Tennessee, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 pm at the Lee Funeral Home & Crematory of Little River on Sunday, March 13 with a private memorial service for the immediate family following the visitation.
