Bodum Recalls Nearly Six Million French Press Coffee Makers
The coffee makers were sold in stores and online at Target, Walmart, and many other home goods retailers.
Bodum has placed a recall on eight models of its popular French press coffee makers. That covers around six million units.
The models include Bistro, Brazil, Caffettiera, Java, Jesper, Kenya, Chambord, and Crema. The recall comes after the company identified 70 reports of carafes breaking and around 50 reports of people being burned while using them.
The coffee makers were sold in stores and online at Target, Walmart, and many other home goods retailers. If you have one of the recalled products, you should stop using metal utensils to stir inside the glass carafe. Contact the company to receive a free Bodum-designed plastic stirring spoon.
