The Impulse Purchases We Regret the Most
...chances are you've got at least one of them hiding in your closet!
We’ve all bought something we were convinced we needed, only to watch it collect dust a few weeks later. Well, a new study reveals the purchases Americans regret the most, and chances are you’ve got at least one of them hiding in your closet!
Unworn clothing tops the list of regrettable purchases. Slow juicers came in second, mostly because people discovered that cleaning them was more work than actually making the juice. Shoes and high heels ranked third, followed by handbags and beauty or skincare products, which often get abandoned after just a few uses. Researchers say impulse shopping and tempting sales are largely to blame, with Americans estimated to spend about $150 a month on unplanned purchases or $1,800 a year on things they thought they couldn’t live without.
