On Oct. 12, 42-year-old Hassan Kariem died after falling from the Goliath roller coaster at the Georgia park.
The Goliath and eight other Goliath-type rides at five other Six Flags parks were closed down “out of an abundance of caution.”
The Georgia park reopened on Oct. 16. However, the Goliath remains closed pending necessary safety reviews and clearances.
The president and CEO over Six Flags announced they are reinforcing safety precautions at their parks and taking additional measures, including adding seat belts on Goliath and other coasters with similar clamp-shell lap-bar restraints.
