18-Year-Old Charged With Reckless Homicide Following Fatal Fiery Crash
18-year-old Nathan Arroyo was driving a Ford F-150 heading north when he crossed over the median into the southbound lanes.
Charges have officially been filed in connection to a fatal fiery crash in Myrtle Beach.
18-year-old Nathan Arroyo has been arrested following the three-vehicle crash that occurred on Sept. 27 along Highway 17 Bypass near Pine Island Road.
Arroyo was driving a Ford F-150 heading north when he crossed over the median into the southbound lanes. He struck the front of a Chevy Traverse, which caused a Chevy Cruze to hit the Traverse from behind after a sudden stop.
A witness reported that Arroyo was speeding and weaving through traffic before he lost control, veered left and over the median. Two of the vehicles caught fire. All of those involved were taken to a hospital.
The Traverse driver was identified as 37-year-old Serhii Babak who succumbed to his injuries. Arroyo is now facing a reckless homicide charge. The investigation remains active.
