Several Local Events To Remember 9/11

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department will hold a stair climb at the Yachtsman Resort South Tower along N. Ocean Boulevard.

Friday marks the 25th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks and there are several local events to remember the day.

The Myrtle Beach Fire Department will hold a stair climb at the Yachtsman Resort South Tower along N. Ocean Boulevard. That will start at 8:45am on Friday with participants climbing 110 stories. There will also be a stair climbing memorial everyday through Saturday at the Crabtree Memorial Gym. At 11am on Friday, a remembrance ceremony will be held at the Unity Memorial in Warbird Park.

In Surfside, a stair climbing event will be held at the pier at 7:30am on Friday. Conway first responders are hosting a special commemoration at The Terrace on Friday at 8:30am. And in Marion County, a 9/11 Memorial Ceremony will be held at the courthouse on Friday at 6pm.
