Walmart Recalls Tomato Soup Kits Over Listeria Concerns

The recall was placed after routine testing produced a presumptive positive result for listeria contamination.

Kettle Cuisine LLC has recalled over 3,000 Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup Kits.

The recall covers 14-ounce kits with a use-by date of Aug. 22. It was placed after routine testing produced a presumptive positive result for listeria contamination.

The kits were distributed from June 30-July 7. They were sold exclusively at select Walmart stores across 29 states including North Carolina.

The products have been removed from store shelves, but consumers may still have the soup in their pantry.

No illnesses linked to the soup have been confirmed. However, consumers should not eat, serve, sell or distribute it. It should be disposed of or returned to the place of purchase for a refund.
