Christopher Sim Byrd, Sr., age 49, of Lumberton, NC died at his residence on Tuesday, February 22, 2011. He was born in Robeson County, NC on September 22, 1961 to Charles Edward Byrd, Sr. and Clearia Davis Byrd. He worked as a manager of Pizza Hut. Mr. Byrd is survived by his father, Charles Edward Byrd, Sr.; his wife, Linda Jacobs Byrd of the home; a son, Christopher Sim Byrd of the home; three daughters, Priscilla V. Byrd of Lumberton, NC, Michelle Byrd of St. Pauls, NC and Christa Byrd of the home; three brothers, Charles Edward Byrd, Jr., Michael Anthony Byrd, Sr. and Jeffrey Mark Byrd, Sr. all of Lumberton, NC; and three grandchildren, Derrick Jayden Thompson, Destiny Marie Thompson and Clearia Nevaeh Byrd. He was preceded in death by his mother, Clearia “Tee Buddy” Davis Byrd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Floyd Memorial Chapel in Lumberton with Rev. Joe Bounds officiating. Burial will follow in Floyd Memory Gardens in Lumberton. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011 from 7:00-9:00 PM at Floyd Mortuary & Crematory, Inc., 809 E. 5th Street in Lumberton.
