Kemba Walker Named Eastern Conference All-Star
CHARLOTTE, NC — Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker has been selected as a reserve for the Eastern Conference in the 2017 NBA All-Star Game.
The NBA announced the selection, a first in Walker’s career, Thursday evening. Walker, 26, is currently in his sixth season with the Hornets and has been averaging career highs in points per game (23.0), field goals per game (8.2), field goal percentage (.456), three-point field goals per game (2.8), and three-point field goal percentage (.411), according to a release. He also ranks eighth in the conference in points per game and second in the conference for connections on three-pointers (127) this season.
