The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help with locating a suspect in a counterfeiting case.
On July 10 and 11, a white male allegedly attempted to use fake $100 an $50 bills at the Party Shop in Andrews.
On July 11, the cashier recognized the bill as counterfeit, kept the money and told the man it was fake. The man was reportedly last seen in a white car at Dollar General.
A similar situation unfolded recently at the same Dollar General, where a man allegedly attempted to pass a fake $100 bill. That suspect has since been identified and arrested.
However, the suspect in the Party Shop incident remains at large. Anyone with information regarding his identity should contact Georgetown County authorities.
