Eight Men Charged In Connection To UFC 250 Attack Plot

According to the indictment, the plot began in May, when the group began amassing money, firearms, ammunition, and other items.

Eight men have been indicted for their alleged roles in a planned drone and sniper attack on the UFC cage-fighting show staged at the White House last month.

All eight were indicted on charges in two separate conspiracies, one to provide material support to terrorists and a second to commit murder on federal government territory and to murder a federal government official.

According to the new indictment, the plot began in May, when the group began amassing money, firearms, ammunition, body armor, explosives, drones, medical equipment, communications equipment and other items.

Officials learned about a possible threat to the UFC event four days before it was set to take place and were able to derail the plan. The indictment represents an effort by the government to streamline the case and link the defendants into a single conspiracy prosecution in Ohio.
