One Hurt After Large Tree Falls On Vehicle In Horry Co.

Extrication and stabilization operations were conducted to remove the driver from the car that the tree fell on.

One person was hurt after a large tree fell on their vehicle in Horry County.

The incident happened around 2:20pm Tuesday in the 9000 block of North Kings Highway outside the Chestnut Hill restaurant. The incident also knocked down utility lines in the area.

Extrication and stabilization operations were conducted to remove the driver from the car that the tree fell on. They were taken to a hospital but it’s unclear how serious the injuries they sustained were.

Utility crews had to work to repair the damaged lines. Further details were not available.
