“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” 2 Timothy 4:7-8 With her head up and her face to the rising sun, On Monday, February 14, 2011, Alberta Echols Robinson quietly departed her earthly home when the death angel descended from the Portal of Gloria to take her to her heavenly home. Mrs. Alberta Echols Robinson, the daughter of the late Levan Echols and Everlee Johnson Echols, was born on March 1, 1947, in Florence County. She departed this life on Monday, February 14, 2011. Alberta attended Florence County public schools. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1967. After graduating from high school, Alberta moved to New York for 5 years. After returning to Florence, she was employed as a seamstress and dietitian. Alberta was joined in holy matrimony to Clifford R. Robinson, Sr. To this union, four children were born; three girls and one boy. Alberta gave her life to the Lord at any early age. She was a member of Bethel Apostolic Church. After her health failed, she continued to praise the Lord at home and at whatever church she visited. Left to cherish her memories are: her husband, Clifford R. Robinson, Sr., Florence, SC; four children, Yvette (Alonsa) Brown, Alicia Robinson, Clifford (Danielle) Robinson, Jr. and Iris Edwards; all of Florence, SC; one sister, Evelyn (Willie) Hemingway; one brother, Isaiah (Daisy) Echols of Florence, SC ; seven aunts, Annie Mae Jupiter, Julia Pringle, Uneedia Deas, Beatrice Clinton, Dorothy Phillips and Ethel Perry all of Florence SC, and Mary Moses, Manhattan, NY; one sister-in-law, Alma Lovelace, Durham, NC; eleven grandchildren, one great-grand all of Florence, SC; special cousins, Selena Goodson and Nathaline Ingram and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and other relatives
