Man Arrested Following High Speed Chase In Georgetown Co.

One man is facing charges following a high speed chase in Georgetown County.

Tuesday evening, deputies attempted a traffic stop along Springs Avenue in Pawleys Island after residents reported that 29-year-old Grant Huffstetler was driving recklessly and had struck another vehicle.

The suspect failed to stop and sped down Highway 17 toward Georgetown. He then made a u-turn near the bridges into town and blew out a tire. The vehicle crashed on Waverly Road and the suspect fled the scene on foot.
