Myrtle Beach Student Is Third Suspect Arrested In Connection To Shooting

During an investigation, police found a group of shell casings that appeared to have been fired from a rifle and a cellphone.

A Myrtle Beach High School student is the third to be arrested in connection to a shooting.

On May 31, numerous shots were fired in the parking lot at the Sandygate Village Apartments along Osceola Street.

During an investigation, police found a group of shell casings that appeared to have been fired from a rifle and a cellphone that was dropped during the incident.

Police also learned two victims with gunshot wounds arrived at a medical center. Witnesses said the suspects fled the scene. They identified 18-year-old Ian Monroe as the shooter and 17-year-old Romeo Elpers was involved as well.

On Thursday, Christopher Roblero was also arrested. Each of them face attempted murder charges while Monroe also faces a charge of possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
