COWARD: Mr. Harold Hagood “Red” Cameron, 74, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 16th, 2011 in his home after a long illness. Mr. Cameron was born on October 13th, 1936. He was a son of the late James O. “Jim” Miles Cameron and the late Eulee Miles Cameron. Mr. Cameron graduated from Lake City High School in 1956. He retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation after thirty-six years of service and from the South Carolina National Guard with thirty-seven years of service. Mr. Cameron was a loving, caring man who loved his home and family. The family would like to extend a special “thank-you” to the McLeod Hospice and the sitters for the compassionate care shown to Mr. and Mrs. Cameron in their times of need. Mr. Cameron‘s surviving family includes his wife of thirty years, Frederica Garrett Cameron, of the home; his children, Randi Lynch, and companion, Kevin Cleary, Pat Frick, and her husband, John, Troy J. Lynch, III, and Martin Webber Lynch; four grandsons; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter. Graveside services for Mr. Cameron will be held at eleven o‘clock a.m., Friday, February 18th, 2011, in the Lake City Memorial Park.
