Meals on Wheels Shares Vision 2036, Seeks Community Support for Annual Gala

Vision 2036 focuses on establishing three sustainable, debt-free food production and distribution facilities.

Michael Snuggs with Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown County was in the studio to talk about Vision 2036 as well as their upcoming Gala event.

Vision 2036 focuses on establishing three sustainable, debt-free food production and distribution facilities. The goal is to grow from serving 600 grandparents weekly to 1,800 weekly, delivering approximately 468,000 nutritious meals per year, while connecting every grandparent to a local church for ongoing spiritual support.

Meals on Wheels has officially purchased a Georgetown location as the first step of Vision 2036. They are also operating a Community Farm on land generously donated by Mr. Bobby Anderson.

They are still searching for a headquarters location, a food processing center to serve the northern portion of Horry County, and funds to construct a hydroponic greenhouse to complete the three-facility plan.

Everything they provide is 100% free and funded solely by the generosity of Jesus and the local community—no government support of any kind. Since 2009, Meals on Wheels of Horry & Georgetown County has delivered over 937,334 meals and currently serve about 600 grandparents weekly with nutritious meals, Scripture, devotionals, caring visits, and the love of Christ.

Also, their 5th annual Gala event will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026. They are looking for sponsors for the event.
