Florence Authorities Search For Store Robbery Suspect

A male in a hoodie and red gloves gave an employee a note stating he had a gun and was demanding money.

Florence police are asking for the public’s help with identifying a robbery suspect.

Around 7:30pm Monday, officers responded to Bargain Ben’s on W. Palmetto Street. Upon arrival, they were informed that a male in a hoodie and red gloves gave an employee a note stating he had a gun and was demanding money.

The man got the money from the register and fled the store on foot, but never presented a weapon. No injuries were reported.

Police are asking for assistance in locating the suspect. Anyone with information should contact Florence County officials.
