Hudson Jr, Barney

Mr. Hudson died Monday, February 14, 2011. Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of the late Barney Cleo and Flossie Kelley Hudson. He was a member of the Hartsville First Church of the Nazarene. He was a loving husband and father. Mr. Hudson served in the US Navy and the SC National Guard. He enjoyed being a truck driver and riding with “Petey”. He was very fond of his grandchildren and was always there to help them. Surviving are his wife Eva Chisholm Hudson of Hartsville, SC; son, Barney (Tammy) Hudson, III of Charleston, SC; daughters, Michelle Hudson of Hartsville, SC, Mary (Bryan) Wells of Rickman, TN; grandchildren, Chelsea Hudson, Chase Hudson, Trent Ritenour, Hunter Ritenour, Branson Wells, Braxton Wells; many special friends. He was predeceased by his brother, Thomas R. Hudson. Funeral services for Barney Cleo Hudson, 62, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2011 at First Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Carey Pratt and the Rev. Michael B. Blankenship will officiate with burial in Darlington Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 16, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home.
