Man Arrested After Allegedly Shooting Victim While Intoxicated

61-year-old Bobby McNeil was allegedly drunk at the time he shot the victim.

One man has been arrested following a shooting in Florence County.

Around 7:30pm Wednesday, police responded to the 1000 block of River Road. Two people allegedly got into a verbal argument which prompted shots fired.

61-year-old Bobby McNeil was allegedly drunk at the time he shot the victim. They were taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be non-life threatening.

McNeil was arrested at the scene and charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, use of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

McNeil is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
