Man Opens Fire At White House Correspondents’ Dinner

31-year-old Cole Allen charged through a security checkpoint and opened fire at the Washington Hilton

A man opened fire at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner on Saturday.

The suspect has been identified as 31-year-old Cole Allen, a teacher from California. He was reportedly armed with multiple weapons. He charged through a security checkpoint and opened fire at the Washington Hilton and appeared to be targeting for administration officials.

Allen was shot at by security but was not struck before he was tackled next to a staircase that led to the ballroom. That’s where President Trump and top officials were situated. They were quickly rushed to safety after the gunshots were heard outside the room.

An agent was shot in the bulletproof vest but no injuries were reported.
