Knight, Roger

Dr. Rev. Roger D. Knight, Sr., age 62, of Darlington, died Sunday, February 13, 2011 in a local hospital. Born August 18, 1948 in Anderson County, he is the son of Louell Escoe Knight and the late Walter Knight. Roger received his D. Min at Southeastern Seminary in Rock Hill and taught at Catawba Baptist Church. Roger pastored in many churches in South Carolina area. Surviving are his wife, Cynthia Hudson Knight, of Darlington, a daughter, Angela Rose Knight of Darlington, a son, Roger Dale Knight, Jr. of Florence , a brother, Marty (Bonnie) Knight of Belton, father –in-law and mother- in- law, Jacob and Rosa Hudson of Darlington, and pets, Lucky and Trixie. The family would like to thank Dr. Michael Pavy and his staff. Funeral Services will be 2:00 Wednesday, February 16, 2011 in the Chapel of Belk Funeral Home in Darlington with interment in Grove Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday, February 16 at the funeral home.
