Another Panthers’ Receiver Injured During Joint Practice At Training Camp

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — Another blow for the Carolina Panthers during a joint practice with the Miami Dolphins after receiver Devin Funchess left practice with a hamstring injury.

Funchess is expected to miss practice Thursday.  Coach Ron Rivera said he left practice early due to tightness in his hamstring.

This comes after the Panthers’ top receiver, Kelvin Benjamin, was carted of the field with a knee injury.  See video of that injury here: http://goo.gl/CnH965

Benjamin will head to Charlotte to get an MRI on his knee.  Rivera said it is being treated as a knee sprain for now.

Dolphins safety Louis Delmas was also injured during the joint practice.  It appears he re-injured a previous ACL tear.
