American College Student Found Deceased While On Spring Break In Spain

An American college student that went missing while on spring break in Spain has been found deceased.

20-year-old James “Jimmy” Gracey was a junior at the University of Alabama. He arrived in Barcelona on Monday to visit friends and was reported missing on Tuesday. He went to a nightclub and failed to return to his short-term rental.

Gracey’s body was found Thursday in the waters near Port Olímpic. Security camera footage and further investigation indicated that he headed toward the water alone. Officers reviewed security camera footage, which captured the moment he fell into the sea. Foul play has been ruled out. An initial examination of the body indicates that Gracey drowned. An investigation remains underway.
