Rogers, Jack

Mr. Jack Rogers, age 57, of 7 Preakness Court, Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday morning, February 10, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Cocoa Beach, FL on December 26, 1953, son of Annie Ruth Fault and the late Asbury Rogers, Sr. He was a graduate of Fairmont High School in Fairmont, NC and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Textiles Chemistry from North Carolina State University. He was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. 01For a number of years, he was associated with West Point Pepperell and Greenwood Mills as a product development specialist. Since the closing of the local Greenwood Mill, he has been an International Consultant, which took him to India, Japan, Pakistan, and many other countries. He was a member of the Spring Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Stoneburner. Survivors include his wife, the former Pamela Susan Stone, to whom he was married, June 12, 1977; two daughters, Ms. Kimberly Rogers of Natchitoches, LA and Ms. Leah Rogers of Rome, GA; his mother, Mrs. Annie Ruth Faulk of Fairmont, NC; two sisters, Mrs. Alma Casanova and her husband, Robert of San Antonio, TX and Mrs. Peggy Moore of Fairmont, NC; five brothers, Asbury Rogers, Jr., and his wife, Margie of Tampa, FL, Jimmy Rogers and his wife, Nancy of Fox Lake, IL, Roy Rogers and his wife, Bonita of Fairmont, NC, Will Rogers and his wife, Gail of Fairmont, NC and David Rogers of Fairmont, NC; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held in Rome, GA on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 5:00PM at Spring Creek Baptist Church. His Pastor, the Rev. Brent Thompson will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Spring Creek Baptist Church on Saturday from 4:00PM until service time. At other hours, they may be contacted at the residence. Another visitation will be held on Monday evening, February 14, 2011 from 6:00-8:00PM at Floyd Funeral Services, Inc., 1549 Marion Stage Road, Fairmont, NC. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 3:00PM at Floyd Memorial Cemetery in Fairmont, NC.
